6. Near-Term Roadmap

This section summarizes expected platform improvements in the near future.

6.1 Event Workspace

  • introduce a dedicated participant timing-data workspace that shows all incoming timing records for one participant in one place and supports operator actions (for example: mark redundant reads, manually add missing records, and correct existing records), because current visibility is primarily checkpoint-based and does not provide a full participant-level timeline.
  • introduce event configuration cloning (copy setup from another event) to speed up creation of recurring events and reduce manual setup errors;
  • introduce category-level bulk actions (for example, +1 year / -1 year) to speed up updates after importing setup from a similar previous-year event;

6.2 Registration Workspace

  • re-enable custom field kind product after bug fixes and completion of stabilization testing.
  • add a Registration overview view with current real-time statistics.
  • implement Registration → Event transfer automation (replacing the current export-from-Registration and manual-import-to-Event baseline) and add reconciliation support;
  • introduce bib-assignment in the transfer flow.
  • improve custom field management, including a clear and easy-to-review product discount view.

6.3 Timing Workspace

  • enhance manual timing start workflows to support precise interval-based starts (for example, every 30 seconds) and simultaneous starts for multiple participants.
  • add built-in support for individual starts with pre-defined start times, so organizers can manage scheduled starts directly without file-based import to the start checkpoint.

6.4 Cross-Domain and Publication Layer

  • re-enable embedding modes after registration payment-return flow hardening and stabilization.
  • improve event lists by adding a list view alongside the current tile/card view.
  • improve event info section design in the Public Results Portal to make event information easier to scan and navigate;
  • enable language switching in the Public Results Portal event section (currently unavailable to users, although most technical support is already implemented).
  • improve results-list UX for long lists, especially refresh/update behavior when users are scrolled deep in the list.
  • add race analysis views for split-level standings, so users can see full result lists at a selected split, not only finish-based lists or individual participant split views.
